The project intially started as just the demolition of an old butchers and estate agents with a new build block of eight flats to be built in its place. During the construction of the first block, the opportunity to purchase one of the neighbouring buildings presented itself to us. The neighbouring building was an abandoned bank that had not been used in many years. We converted the rear of the ground floor and all of the first floor by adding one storey to the front and two storeys to the rear allowing us to add a further five flats to this project.
Ripleys Yard (named after the old butchers) was the name that we finally settled on. Both blocks share a spacious communal car park and have great links into London and further out into Hertfordshire as it is 0.6 miles away from Cheshunt Station.
Ripleys Yard is located right in the heart of Cheshunt at The Old Pond and is located less than 5 minute walk to either Cheshunt or Theobalds Stations which both have great links into London making this a perfect development for commuters and those looking to escape the London life.
The commercial unit on the ground floor and the flats above have really turned this corner into one of the stand-out buildings on street.
Properties Marketed By
The Ripleys Yard development was co-marketed by two local estate agents, Paul Wallace and Woodhouse Property Consultants.
Both agents are based in Cheshunt and are both considered as two of Hertfordshire best and most trusted estate agents.
