56–58 & 62 Turners Hill, Cheshunt
Ripleys Yard: two neighbouring blocks with 13 apartments and two commercial units — our third project and our largest.
The project started as the demolition of an old butcher's and estate agent's, with a new-build block of eight flats in their place. During construction of that first block, we had the chance to buy the neighbouring building, a bank that had stood empty for many years. We converted the rear of its ground floor and all of the first floor, adding one storey to the front and two to the rear, which created a further five flats.
We named the development Ripleys Yard, after the old butcher's. It sits right in the heart of Cheshunt at The Old Pond, less than five minutes' walk from Cheshunt and Theobalds Grove stations, and both blocks share a spacious communal car park. The commercial unit on the ground floor and the flats above have made this corner one of the stand-out buildings on the street.
Ripleys Yard was co-marketed by two local estate agents, Paul Wallace and Woodhouse Property Consultants.
